“Peace in History and the History in Peace”
Humanist Center for Direct Communication, Peace, and Reconciliation, Colombia
Peace has been a fundamental concept in the evolution of human societies, transforming from the absence of war to a dynamic state that includes social justice, harmony, and stability. This topic invites reflection on how notions of peace have influenced historical processes and how these, in turn, have shaped our current understanding of peace.
This panel offers a unique opportunity to explore how ideals and practices related to peace have evolved, highlighting their relevance in today’s world.
Universalist Humanism as personal development seeks to overcome pain and suffering, and at the social level, transformation, coherence, peace, and active nonviolence, with the human being as our core value and resolving conflicts with respect and direct communication.
We will continue to present regular conferences internationally, in universities and places where we can share this theme of peace. In this 2nd. At the Permanent Forum Assembly, we extend an invitation to those who wish to join. Currently, there are seven members of the panel. This team was formed with a shared interest in deepening, studying, understanding, and examining the historical processes surrounding the topic of peace.
As a presentation of the panel, we are pleased to invite you to our first presentation, “Historical Outline of the Ideals of Peace,” by humanist Ildefonso Hernández Silva, thus launching the panel “Peace in History and the History of Peace.”
We look forward to seeing you.
